THE LOFOTEN ISLANDS

Lofoten's row of jagged mountain peaks stretches out like a wall into the west. During the winter, the Norwegian Arctic cod leave the Barents Sea and make their way down here to spawn, thus providing the basis for settlement here for thousands of years. And it is precisely mountains and fish, together with the Midnight Sun, the Northern Lights and the tiny, picturesque fishing villages that attract increasing numbers of inquisitive travellers to this island realm. All these things, together with the idea of spending time in wild and magnificent coastal countryside far inside the Arctic Circle, with all the wonders it has to offer ...

Lofoten Sjøhus & Rorbuer i sistuated in Sørvågen on the island of Moskenesøya (see map). Sørvågen is a vibrant fishing hamlet where you will also find fantastic mountain hiking terrain, a marina, excellent fishing in lakes and the sea, museums, galleries, a restaurant and pub, shops, tourist information, etc..

Sørvågen is approx. 2 km from the ferry (Bodø-Moskenes), 3 km from Å, 6 km from Reine, and 65 km from Leknes Airport.
